BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:-/-/EN BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:Preventing & Treating Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injuries in Childbirth UID:554 DESCRIPTION:This multidisciplinary study day is being delivered by MASIC, a charity committed to supporting women who have experienced anal sphincter injuries in childbirth. Central to this aim is the education of professionals about the prevention and management of these injuries and to provide insight into the holistic care needs of women who experience them.The programme will start with an overview of Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury (OASI) and follow the patient care pathway from prevention and detection of injuries to secondary surgical management and subsequent pregnancies. Presentations will draw on the diverse range of professional roles required to coordinate and deliver effective and individualised care.
