Biography
Mr Niroo Rajendran is an Honorary Associate Professor at QMUL and the Lead for Robotic Surgery and Colorectal Surgery at Queen’s and King George's Hospitals (BHR NHS Trust). He qualified from St George’s, University of London and completed his surgical training in SW Thames/KSS. He was awarded an MD(Res) and attained his FRCS in 2015.
He successfully completed a Colorectal Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Melbourne, Australia) followed by the RSO post at St Mark’s Hospital. He has special interests in locally advanced and recurrent rectal cancer and pouch surgery.
He is the lead for Colorectal Surgery and has developed exenteration and laparoscopic ileoanal J pouch services. He led the successful bid for Robotic surgery at Queen's Hospital and King George's Hospital and supervises the robotic programme.
