Biography
I trained as a General Surgeon in Mumbai, India before moving to the United Kingdom. After formal specialist training in General Surgery with a subspecialist interest in Colorectal in the Yorkshire Deanery I was awarded the CCT. I have been a Colorectal & General Surgeon since 2010. I am experienced in all aspects of general surgery. My tenure as a Consultant Surgeon has helped me to consolidate my colorectal and general surgical experience that I acquired as a Registrar in the Colo-rectal unit at the Leeds General Infirmary. This was concentrated on acquiring advanced skills in colorectal surgery including laparoscopic colorectal resections. I am experienced in the management of patients with colorectal disease, in particular colorectal cancer, IBD and pelvic floor disorders and perform laparoscopic colonic resections for cancers and inflammatory bowel disease, low anterior resection and APER.
As a General Surgeon I perform laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic and open groin hernia and incisional hernia repairs. I have had a long experience in diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopies and colonoscopies.
