Biography
I qualified from The London Hospital Medical College in 1988, obtaining the fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992. I undertook a period of research into anorectal reconstruction and colonic reflexes at the Colorectal Unit of The London hospital and obtained a Master of Surgery degree in 1996. I undertook my surgical training in North East Thames completing in 2000. Prior to taking up my consultant post in Southend Hospital, I spent 3 months in Japan and Australia, improving my experience in laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery and therapeutic endoscopy. In 2003, I moved to a consultant post at The Royal London Hospital. My main colorectal interest is inflammatory bowel disease.
