Biography
I completed my basic and higher surgical training from Leicester and Northwest Health Education England Deaneries and was awarded CCT in General Surgery. I have a specialist interest in colorectal surgery with a sub-specialist interest in hereditary colorectal cancers, locally advanced, recurrent colorectal cancers, and complex IBD. I completed an international fellowship program at the prestigious and world-renowned Cleveland Clinic. I spent an additional year after my fellowship at the center working as a consultant surgeon, focusing primarily on the surgical management of conditions related to the area of my sub-specialist interest. I am a research enthusiast and have a post-graduate master's (MD) degree and excellent experience in both translational and clinical research with more than thirty-plus surgical publications. I am also an experienced surgical trainer and have worked as a clinical tutor for the HYMS for three years. I am currently a faculty on MRCS, FRCS, BSS, and CCriSP courses run by the Royal College of Surgeons England.
