First Announcement We are delighted to invite you to ACBGBI's 2016 Annual Meeting in the vibrant and historic city of Edinburgh. Edinburgh is a UNESCO World Herritage Site, teeming with history from the medieval Old Town with cobbled streets and winding closes to the neoclassical New Town built in the 18th century. Built on seven hills which provide a stunning backdrop, the city welcomes over 4 million visitors a year to its 12 annual festivals including the world renowned Edinburgh International Festival and Fringe Festival. Famed for its academic teachings, Edinburgh has the sixth oldest university in the English speaking world. Notable alumni include Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Darwin, Alexander Graham Bell and Robert Louise Stevenson. Edinburgh has the strongest economy of any city outside London and is one of Europe's leading centres for financial services.
