Clinical Excellence Awards – 2016 round – England & Wales
10 March 2016
Dear ACPGBI Member - I write to let you know the process that ACPGBI will be adopting for the 2016 Clinical Excellence Awards round for England and Wales. The timeframe set by government on ACCEA applications is very tight this year and therefore impacts on ACPGBI’s deadline for applications.
To enable us to score applications and produce ranked lists, we need members’ ACCEA Application Forms to reach us
no later than 10 am on Thursday, 24th March 2016. Applications must be emailed to
admin@acpgbi.org.uk .
The ACCEA 2016 applications will open on 11th March 2016 and are expected to follow a similar format to previous years. The timetable is extremely tight.
The ACCEA closing date is 16th May 2016.
Any applications received after 10 am on 24th March 2016
will not be considered by the ACPGBI Nominations Committee.
ACCEA guidance is expected to be made available on their website in line with the opening date:
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/advisory-committee-on-clinical-excellence-awards
As with previous years, the responsibility for the actual on-line submission of the application to ACCEA will rest firmly with the applicant.
The deadline for submission to ACCEA is 16th May 2016.
The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland is registered as a Specialty Society and under the current rules can submit 8 nominations for Bronze, 4 for silver and 2 for Gold. Please consult the ACCEA website and follow the instructions carefully.
- It is an open process, so why not ask a suitable colleague to review your CV for mistakes, omissions and improvements?
- As for job applications, anything that enables the reader to glean the information easily from the form will be helpful. Bullet pointed, succinct sentences where possible are one way of achieving this.
Kind regards
Brendan Moran
