The Price Thomas Fellowships allow two UK/Ireland trainees or consultants to travel with the Travelling Surgical Society of Great Britain and Ireland for one week to Charlottesville, Virginia in April or May 2013. The society will meet all costs for flights, registration, accommodation and some meals for the two successful applicants. Partners are encouraged to travel, though at their own expense. Application is open to surgical trainees at ST7 or more senior by May 2013 or to consultants within 10 years of appointment. Surgeons from the following specialties may apply: General surgery, including any of the subspecialties (Breast, Vascular, Colorectal, Upper GI, Hepato-pancreatico-biliary, Endocrine), Cardiothoracic, Plastic , Urology, General Paediatric, Transplantation or Military Surgery. The Travelling Surgical Society does not have members in Ophthalmic, EENT, OMFS or Orthopaedic Surgery. The closing date for applications is Friday 2nd November 2012.
