Clinical Excellence Awards 2019 round - England & Wales
15 January 2019
We are pleased to inform you that the Clinical Excellence Award system is continuing this year.
To enable us to score applications and produce ranked lists for ACPGBI support we need ACPGBI members’ ACCEA Application Forms to reach us no later than 10 am on Friday, 1st March 2019.
The ACCEA 2019 application system will open on Tuesday, 7th February 2019 and is expected to follow a similar format to previous years.
The ACCEA closing date is 5 pm on Thursday, 4th April 2019.
Any applications for ACPGBI support received after 10 am on 1st March 2019 will not be considered by the ACPGBI Nominations Committee.
ACCEA guidance is expected to be made available on their website in line with the opening date.
ACCEA Guidance
As with previous years, the responsibility for the actual on-line submission of the application to ACCEA will rest firmly with the applicant.
The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland is registered as a Specialty Society and under the current rules can submit 8 nominations for Bronze, 4 for Silver and 2 for Gold.
Please consult the ACCEA website and follow the instructions carefully.
- It is an open process, so why not ask a suitable colleague to review your CV for mistakes, omissions and improvements?
- As for job applications, anything that enables the reader to glean the information easily from the form will be helpful. Bullet pointed, succinct sentences where possible are one way of achieving this.
ACPGBI Members are also recommended to apply to the Royal College of Surgeons of England and ASGBI for ACCEA support if they are a member of these organisations.
