ACPGBI and The Dukes’ Club are delighted to invite nominations of exemplary trainers in coloproctology. The prestigious ACPGBI/Dukes’ Club Coloproctology Trainer of the Year will be awarded to colorectal surgeons who consistently deliver exceptional training and create a learning environment in which to provide outstanding patient care.
Award Process
Please provide supportive evidence of training excellence by answering the following questions (maximum 75 words per question):
- Which environments does your nominee train in?
- How does your nominee 'train' you do to a particular operation?
- How does your nominee support personal and professional development?
- How does your nominee train and support the wider surgical team?
- What training initiatives has your nominee developed/ participated in? (Please give date and indicate whether local, regional or international)
Applications will be anonymised prior to being scored by a panel to include Dukes’ Club representatives, chapter representatives and education committee members
Eligibility
- The proposer can be any health care professional
- The nominee must be a consultant or associate specialist member of ACPGBI
- The nominee must be practicing in the UK or Ireland
- Previous nominations or winners of trainer of the year will be accepted
- Self-nominations will not be accepted
