ACPGBI have been asked by NHS Digital and GIRFT (Getting it Right First Time) to input into a revision of the colorectal procedure codes within OPCS (Operating Procedure Codes Supplement) 4.10. These are the codes that describe what we do as Healthcare Professionals. They are used by Government in decision making. Trusts get funded according to them. They need to be right and reflect what we do.

The aim is to put together a small working party to engage with the TCDS (Terminology Classification and Delivery Service) to make sure that the revision that is done is as accurate as possible.

We are asking for Expressions of Interest from Ordinary members in the form of a brief covering letter and a 1page A4 abridged CV.

These should be sent to the Honorary Secretary Graham Branagan by 5pm on Tuesday 22 November 2022.

Selection will be made by the President and Honorary Secretary.
