About ACPGBI

Closing date - Friday 12 July 2024

An opportunity has arisen for one associate SSL posts in Colorectal Surgery. This post will be competitively appointed to drive research trials forward in colorectal surgery. The successful applicants will be appointed for 3 years and work alongside the SSLs:

Susan Moug and Dale Vimalachandran

The Associate SSL will work with the other 3 aSSLs already in post and will be expected to have both enthusiasm for research accompanied by a track record in research participation and collaboration. They will be surgeons in training in the U.K. Co-production with patients and their supporters is a key feature of this national role that strives to produce patient centred research.

The aSSLs and SSLs are supported by their surgical societies (Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland, Bowel Research UK).

A higher degree is not essential but a demonstrable passion for research is.
