We are pleased to announce that Matthew Lee has been awarded the 2025 ASCRS Travelling Fellowship

I’m delighted to be awarded the ASCRS Travelling Fellowship. I’m looking forward to visiting centres and exploring management of acute colorectal conditions, as well as IBD surgery. This will look at interfaces between specialties, and how new treatment strategies are implemented.

I’m also interested to look at how research is integrated into practice. I’m looking forward to building friendships and collaborations with our colleagues in the US, and findings ways to work together in the future.

The visit concludes with a presentation at the ASCRS conference. I will be talking about new insights on Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS) following treatment for small bowel obstruction, utilising the PRO-diGI PROM tool.
