Following the huge success of the recent virtually delivered Advanced Coloproctology Course (ACC) that reached over 1,200 viewers across 88 different countries, our main educational focus now switches to the ACPGBI Annual Meeting in Harrogate at the end of June. I hope you have enjoyed learning about some of the speakers and sessions from the video clips circulated, and please remember to book asap as the early bird reduced registration fees are available until 18 April.

For those presenters who have abstracts accepted, we will honour these reduced rates for you when you register for the meeting- abstract marking is complete and results will be with you very soon. Please also remember to book in to the ACPGBI Social Event on the Tuesday evening!

With input across all areas of the organisation, your Executive Committee have been working very hard on our new and updated Strategy for ACPGBI moving to the future, and I look forward to being able to share this with you in the coming weeks. It’s an exciting time to be working and training in Coloproctology!

Finally, congratulations to two ACPGBI members, Nuha Yassin and Charles Maxwell-Armstrong, on their recent re-election and election to the Council of The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
