"Bugs, drugs, hugs and shrugs for Inflammatory Bowel Disease"
A one day course for those involved in the multidisciplinary care of IBD patients such as consultants and trainee gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, IBD specialist nurses and dieticians
The course is designed to:
- Explore the role of the microbiota in the cause and management of IBD (BUGS)
- Demonstrate how to optimise medical therapy (both conventional and biologic therapies) for IBD (DRUGS)
- Inform how best to deal with treatment uncertainties and engage in shared decision-making (SHRUGS)
- Demonstrate how to address the psychological burden of IBD (HUGS)
