Biography

Mrs Katie Yeadon (previously Grace and Cross) qualified in 1994 from St Thomas’s Hospital in London. She trained in General surgery through St Georges Hospital Tooting and Bristol Royal Infirmary. She undertook research into the effect of Epidural on the colon at University of Bristol. As a Specialist Registrar she rotated throughout almost all the hospitals in the southwest. She gained Laparoscopic experience at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol and took part in LAPCO. She specialises in bowel cancer offering all open and laparoscopic surgery tailored to the patient’s needs. She has an interest in inflammatory bowel disease and benign anal conditions such as anal fissures, fistulas and haemorrhoids and recruits into trials to try to improve patient outcome. As Lead for all Cancer services for North Devon District Hospital, she is greatly involved in optimising patient care at all levels. As a member of the South West Senate Council, she strives to optimise patient care at all levels. She sits on National ACP Committees for colonoscopy and proctology. She has been appointed as SW regional director for RCS
