This audit is a joint initiative between the trainee research collaboratives of South Yorkshire and West Midlands, and ACPGBI, with funding from Bowel Research UK

This prospective audit will map the care process of patients being treated for acute small bowel obstruction over an 8 week period in early 2017. It will capture particular data about adherence to nutritional guidelines in the management of these patients. We are looking for centres to support this project. We would like a consultant surgeon from each acute trust in the UK to lead this project locally. We will provide all relevant governance documentation and training. All those who return a validated dataset at the end of the study will be eligible for collaborative authorship. Follow us on twitter @NASBO2017
