Advanced Anastomotic Techniques in IBD Surgery
09:30 - 12:00

The Dukes' Club, in collaboration with the ACPGBI IBD Subcommittee, will be organising, for the second year in a row, a practical skills course on Advanced Anastomotic Techniques in IBD Surgery, at ACPGBI 2025.

This hands-on course will focus on ileoanal pouch anastomosis and Kono-S anastomosis, key techniques in complex IBD surgical management. Participants will work in pairs, practicing on pig tissue to replicate real-world surgical conditions, ensuring a highly practical and immersive learning experience.

The course will be led by faculty from the ACPGBI IBD Subcommittee and the Dukes' Club, offering expert guidance and feedback throughout the session. Designed for trainees seeking to refine their skills in advanced anastomotic techniques, this workshop provides a unique opportunity to enhance technical proficiency in a collaborative setting.

In addition to the practical skills stations, a short presentation of the findings of the Dukes' Club survey on IBD training will be delivered, followed by a discussion on training in IBD surgery, with the expert faculty.

Spaces are limited, so secure your place early to take part in this invaluable training.
