The Undergraduate Steering Committee hosted an essay competition, open to medical students across the country- on the title: Role of AI in improving Medical Education and Surgical Training. 

The transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) has opened up new avenues for surgical advancements. Beyond healthcare, AI also has diverse applications in medical education such as simulation training. Therefore, it is crucial for current medical students to gain deeper insight into this increasingly prominent concept as the next generation of surgeons.

The winner for this years competition is Hei Yu Lam, a final year medical student at Newcastle University.
